For players ages 10 – Adult, must be able to read standard music notation and have an instrument to play.
Meet The Directors

Our Delaware County Flute Choir Director, Rebecca Simon, is an active orchestral and chamber musician, as well as a sought-after teacher, chamber coach and clinician. She is principal flute of The New Jersey Chamber Orchestra and a long-time member of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra. Becki has played with the Reading Symphony, Kennett Symphony, Harrisburg Symphony, Allentown Symphony and National Orchestral Institute, among many others. She teaches flute and coaches chamber music at Swarthmore, Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges. Becki has conducted the Bi-Co (Bryn Mawr/Haverford) Flute Choir for 20 years. Her education includes a Master's Degree in Flute Performance from the Peabody Conservatory, as well as a B.A. in Flute Performance from the University of Maryland. Her major teachers include Mark Sparks, Kazuo Tokito (piccolo), Laurie Sokoloff (piccolo), and William Montgomery.

Erica Westcott has been the Assistant Director for the Delaware County Flute Choir since its first session in the winter of 2024. She graduated from West Chester University in December 2022 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, and was immediately hired as the Director of Bands at Hatboro-Horsham High School (Horsham, PA). There, she is the director of the concert band and marching band and also teaches beginner band, guitar, music theory, rock ensemble, and piano. She has also taught private flute lessons since 2020.
Erica has been fortunate enough to play for audiences in Germany as well as in prestigious venues such as the Kimmel Center (Philadelphia) and Symphony Hall (Boston). She has also performed in masterclasses with renowned flute players such as Olivia Staton of the Philadelphia Orchestra. In her free time, Erica loves to read, be outside, and spend time with family and friends!
